Spring is such a beautiful time of the year. Things are growing and renewing and it feels like a time of new beginnings, especially after a long winter. Spring isn’t just a good time to freshen things up at home either. It’s also a good time to review your oral health. If you have yet to receive your first bi-annual dental exam and cleaning, it’s probably time to give your smile a spring cleaning!
Spring Clean Your Teeth
Like cleaning out the dirt and clutter that may accumulate in your home, you should also add spring cleaning for your teeth to your to-do list. Spring cleaning gets rid of clutter and dust that has accumulated over a season of living primarily indoors. Dental exams and cleanings get rid of built up plaque that you can’t clear out on your own. They also help avoid dental emergencies, because our team can see potential problems in their early stages.
Dental Exams & Cleanings
Our hygienist will clean your teeth and remove all the hard and soft bacteria on the teeth and gums during a routine exam and cleaning. After the bacteria is removed, our hygienist will floss and apply a gritty paste to polish the surface of the teeth. This results in a surface that can protect your smile from bacteria and surface stains. Once the cleaning is complete, we’ll thoroughly examine your teeth and recommend any necessary treatment or products.
Post Exams & Cleanings
No matter when you have a dental exam and cleaning, you’re sure to leave our office with a mouth that feels fresh and clean! Your mouth is free from bacteria, and you have a lower risk of cavities, gum disease and inflammation. Until your next scheduled dental exam and cleaning with our team, it’s your job to provide your oral health the care and attention it needs.
- Brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes
- Floss your teeth once a day
- Use mouthwash as directed or needed
